I have been working out at Excel for almost 5 years. I like the small, family nature of the gym – very friendly and supportive members and staff.
I’ve followed a fairly regular cardio fitness program for about as long as I can remember, but I had never done anything with weights until I started at Excel Fitness. My fitness goals are to improve (or at least maintain!) muscle tone, flexibility, balance and strength. I work out so that I can comfortably enjoy outdoor adventures such as hiking, biking, beach-combing, kayaking and canoeing. I’m also trying to put off some of the physical ailments that seem to come along with old age for as long as possible. And so far it’s working!
Heather is my trainer. She does a great job of motivating me to do so much more than I would ever do on my own! The workouts are challenging and varied. Heather always asks for feedback and incorporates what I tell her into future sessions. Working out with Heather has become a regular part of my weekly routine and I can’t imagine it being any other way!
